Introducing the Industrial Internet Security Framework
The unprecedented growth and performance gains in industrial systems due to the explosion of connected devices has exposed networks that have otherwise been isolated from attacks of ever increasing sophistication. This has created enormous risks for businesses that operate industrial processes. Without question, there is a need to protect against error, mischance and malicious intent.
In September, The Industrial Internet Consortium will release the Industrial Internet Security Framework (IISF), a common security framework developed to address security issues in Industrial Internet of Things systems.
The IISF provides details on five characteristics - security, privacy, resilience, reliability and safety – that help define “trustworthiness” in Information Technology (IT) systems and Operational Technology (OT) systems. The IISF defines risk, assessments, threats, metrics and performance indicators to help business management protect their organizations.
Join us at RTI Headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA for a complementary public forum on securing the Industrial Internet and in-depth presentations and discussions with the key contributors to the IISF. This public event will include presentations, security case studies, panels and demonstrations.
