We are excited to announce the official launch of the IIC Community Forum for you, the IIoT community. We invite you all to be part of this initiative and to spread the word to your colleagues, peers and customers.
This Forum was born out of a need and desire by the IIC to further promote the adoption of IIoT by enabling industry experts and enthusiasts to connect. As stated on the IIC’s website
“The IIC brings together the organizations and technologies necessary to accelerate the growth of the industrial internet by identifying, assembling, testing and promoting best practices. Members work collaboratively to speed the commercial use of advanced technologies.”
We are launching this Forum for you, technology innovators, leaders, and researchers, to connect and brainstorm. With time, the Forum will become an extensive source of information and ideas that we want everyone involved in IIoT to leverage. We do have processes in place to moderate the discussions, simply to make sure members follow the Forum’s policies. At the end of the day, it is about using courtesy and basic business sense to create a safe and respectful environment.
As with any forum, one important thing is to visit regularly. If you are afraid you will forget, our Forum also allows members to follow categories of interest; a quick and easy way to get a notice when a discussion you started or contributed to is evolving. Simply click FOLLOW next to the Category of your choice. Responding to peers who provided their perspective on discussions that you took part in is what this is all about!
This project is the result of an amazing collaboration between IIC staff (Harriet Costa and Kathy Walsh), Ecosystem Task Group co-chairs (ourselves), the IIC members who took part in the content seeding process (so many people), and our forum platform vendor; the type of collaboration that gives birth to great things and to new friendships. We hope that you will enjoy collaborating through the Forum as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
Do not hesitate to reach out to the team if you have any questions or comments. We would love to hear from you.
Patrice & Bassam, on behalf of the Ecosystem Task Group
